Free Digital Scrapbooking Mini Kit – Chinese Orient

Hello hello… :)

March blog train from DSF is leaving the station. The current theme is Chinese Orient, because last month (February), there was a Chinese new year and it was a wonderful celebration.

Even though I’m not a Chinese descent, I enjoyed the celebration by watching an awesome Lion Dance. It was really bright and amazing. The lion jumped here an there (just like in Movies) and I was too excited so I forgot to take a picture. . Well, seems like Chinese festival and cultural celebrations will never fail to amaze me. They have awesome Lion Dance, badass Kung-Fu movies, and some good songs and dramas. My All time favorite Chinese Movie is Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and I consider Jackie Chan and Jet Li as “super hero”.

Then, here’s my part for the blog train. A mini kit with 9 papers and 8 elements. Let’s have a look at the preview:

The mascot girl is Princess Min Min, Little Princess from Qing Dynasty. Princesses in this era were known by their “huge” princess hat and “flowerpot-sole” shoes. I think the hat is unique and easy to remember. We can even see the photograph of the real Empress and Princess wore the hat (dated back to early 20th century). :D

I also include glittered Hanzi script “Ai” (it means “love”). This script and word is used by both Chinese and Japanese with a same phonetic and meaning. I hope you like it :D

Finally, here’s the download link

UPDATE: If you downloaded it before 2013/03/15, perhaps you missed a glitter frame. I forgot to include it into the zipped folder. Sorry… Now you can download the individual frame file here.

  1. Wow! There’s nothing “mini” about this blog train contribution — thanks so much for sharing! I especially like the glittery tree and the blossom papers – -gorgeous!

  2. Wow – I was following the blog train and I must thank you for the lovely train kit but then I saw your other kits and I have just been and downloaded several from your facebook site, including a beautiful Eid kit (not my faith but I have several friends that I could use this for). Thank you so much!!! It is most kind of you and your use of colour is lovely. Best wishes.

    • Hi Michelle, my apologies because I’m using the free-version of Mediafire so they added lots of ads with “fake” download button there. Simply click the “prettiest” green button in the “very middle” of your screen. The difference with the fake download button that it also wrote file size within the download button. In this case, “Download (51.09 MB)” I hope it helps. :)

  3. Thanx for sharing… i’m ethnic Chinese and i’m planning a Princess party for my daughter, and your Manchurian princess will be a lovely addition to the decor and birthday slideshow! =)

  4. Love the bright papers and glittery elements! Thank you so much! Also, I don’t know a lot about traditional Chinese dress, but your doll seems to my untrained eye to be genuinely honoring actual Chinese costume, which is awesome and respectful.
